Welcome to TrainHub. Individuals requiring access to the Alberta Personal Property Registration Electronic System (APPRES) or Corporate Registry System (CORES) are required to complete an eLearning course or exam.

2. Accounts Overview
Anyone needing to write an exam or take eLearning must have their own account to access the Learning Management System (TrainHub).
How to Create a TrainHub Account
- Sign up for an Alberta.ca account: You need to sign up as your Alberta.ca email will be required on the exam request form.
- Fill out the form: Driver examiners and Registries Online subscribers can fill out the Online Exams/Training: Account Creation/Maintenance and Exam Request Form.
- Submit the form: Submit the form as instructed. Once approved, access will be granted. You will be notified by email.
- Activate your account: The username (your email) and password used to write an exam or take eLearning courses are the same credentials you use for Alberta.ca.
Note: You must use your own username (your email) and password to write your exams or take eLearning.
2a. Alberta Registry Agents (RA)
A Registry Agent Office provides Motor Vehicles, Land Titles (search only), Vital Statistics, Corporate Registry and Personal Property Registry services to the general public on behalf of the Alberta government.
2b. Registries Online Subscribers (ROL)
Registries Online organizations include financial institutions, law firms, auto repair shops, dealerships or auction houses.
2c. Members of the Public
Details for individuals registering from another province or seeking one-time exams.

2d. Government of Alberta Employees
Access is granted based on verified Government of Alberta employment status.
2e. Workers’ Compensation Board Employees
Access is granted based on verified WCB employment status.
3. Online Registries Examinations

Exam Details
Format:
All exams are open-book and consist of randomized questions.
Pass Mark:
A minimum grade of 80% is required to obtain accreditation.
Cost:
Exams, cancellations, and exam changes are available at no charge.
Grading:
Once complete and submitted, all exams are automatically graded electronically.
Timing: Exams are only available from 9 am to 11:59 pm MST on the day they are booked. You will not be allowed extra time if you start your exam late.
3a. APPRES (Personal Property)
The APPRES accreditation you require is dependent on where you are employed. All APPRES exams are 3.5 hours in duration.
Exam Restrictions by Role:
- Registry Agents (APPRES-RA): For those seeking employment with a Registry Agent office.
- ROL Subscribers (APPRES-ROL): For those seeking employment with an organization that has a Registries Online Agreement.
- Civil Enforcement Agents (APPRES-CEA): For those seeking employment with a Civil Enforcement Agency.
- Civil Forfeiture (APPRES-CIVIL): For Civil Forfeiture Office employees registering Statutory Charges.
- Government of Alberta (APPRES-GOVT): For GOA employees collecting outstanding funds/registering Writs.
- Maintenance Enforcement (APPRES-MEP): For MEP employees registering Maintenance Orders.
- Workers' Comp (APPRES-WCB): For WCB employees registering Workers' Compensation Charges.
3b. CORES (Corporate Registry)
The Corporate Registry System (CORES) contains information on corporations, non-profit companies, societies, partnerships, trade names and other entities registered in Alberta.
⏱️ Exam Duration: 4.5 hours
Accreditation Levels:
Accreditation consists of three levels. The exams may be taken in any order, however, your personal unique User ID and User Password will not be issued until the preceding level or levels have been achieved.
- Level 1: Basic accreditation
- Level 2: Intermediate accreditation
- Level 3: Advanced accreditation
3c. AHCIP
Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan Exam. This exam is for registry agents only.
Mandatory Prerequisite
You must complete the required eLearning module before attempting this exam.
3d. Cancellation and Change Policy
For exam cancellations or changes, email us at registries.training@gov.ab.ca.
- All exam cancellations or changes must be requested within 2 business days of the booked exam date or a new form will be required.
- Booking cancellations and exam changes are available at no charge.

Go to TrainHub and log in. Once you have created an account, read all the essential documents located in the course's Welcome tile.
5c. Registration and Exam Request Forms
Driver examiners and Registries Online subscribers must fill out the Online Exams/Training: Account Creation/Maintenance and Exam Request Form.
Important Deadline: Exam booking requests must be submitted a minimum of 10 business days prior to the desired exam date.
